Peugeot

This is the name "Peugeot" as it was written in the 50s / 60s on bikes and pepper mills, as well as on the trunk of cars 203 and 403.

Peugeot started with pepper mills (we still manufacture them), then bicycles and cars. So why not shotguns?

Marcel (Belgium)

Peugeot, manufacturer of luxury hunting weapons in St Etienne in 1935

EM (Italy)

One of the Peugeot brothers specialized in different mechanical fabrications: coffee grinders, drills, various tools, which were mainly broadcast in France. The hunting and shooting weapons are in this niche.

Michel (Belgium)

Peugeot: manufacturer of luxury hunting weapons in Saint-Etienne (Loire), 46 rue Gutenberg (headquarters), 50, avenue de Rochetaillée (factory) in 1935 according to who is who of the weapon in France of JJ Buigné and Pierre Jarlier.

Phil (Belgium)

It is certainly a subcontracting of homemade with MASSIOT guns (it is written above). PEUGEOT has granted the use of its brand for advertising purposes (and probably well minted!) To make believe in a so-called manufacture of shotguns by the Lion brand ...

In the same way, Peugeot made UNIQUE manufacturing pistols in caliber 6.35 mm (25 ACP) renamed PEUGEOT !!!

Nevertheless, this superimposed is pretty enough ...

PR (France)

PEUGEOT

The Peugeot weapons were manufactured in Saint-Etienne (France) by the "Manufactures d'Armes" of the company "Cycles Peugeot SA", which later became a subsidiary of the Peugeot group under the name "Société de Mechanical Mécanique Peugeot Loire".

This region was chosen for its highly qualified workforce, Saint-Etienne being the center of the manufacture of weapons in France.

Production began in the mid-1920s and in the 1930 catalog there were already four models of shotgun with two barrels juxtaposed and two models with two superimposed guns, as well as two automatic guns.

The quality of these firearms and their level of security quickly gave a good reputation to Peugeot.

In 1936 the range consisted of 21 shotguns and 5 rifles.

The Second World War interrupted this activity and the difficulties of the industrial restart in 1945 put an end to this industrial branch.
