Bolt actioned rifles, Ruger, Winchester, Mausers, Remingtons, etc, I feel there is no problem dry firing.
With wheel guns having firing pins on the hammer, again, no problem & good practice in double action
with shows instantly if you are squeezing the trigger straight back.
With guns having 'captured" firing pins, Double rifle, shotguns, etc, I would not dry fire for fear of breaking the pin.
I do not know what an MCA is.
