Bought my self a second double in my gun cabinet, this will be the third one i have purchased before i turn 31 years.
I have one 9.3x74 and used to one a new krieghoff 500NE. So the craving to have a big bore cameback, and the choise fell on the 470 caliber, nice combo with my 9.3x74.
The rifle i a Merkel 140A in 470NE Produced in the year 2000. Its regulated with federal ammo, woodleigh bullets.
It has been a couple of times in africa, and proven it self against 2 elephants, 4 buffalo and 1 eleand.
It has some upgrades done to it, like articulated triggers, cleaning cloth in the pistol grip cap and moonsight. It is also a links rifle, i am a right shooter, so i will in 1-2years time have new stock built to it with a nice turkish walnut.
I think it was a good deal, i only paid 4000dollars for it and a zeiss C 1.5-4.5x18 as a trade in to sweeten the deal.
