But forget about capercaillie in Germany! Due to habitat loss, these birds are close to extinction in Germany and fully protected. You will have to go to the Baltic states or Russia for hunting them. BTW, when still legal in central Europe, capercillie were usually hunted in spring, not in September. In September you may hunt for red-, fallow-, roedeer, maybe some boar and fur and feather over here.
