If it's that much of a concern to you, and it's going to be a few dollars, why not ask for more photos?
At least then there would be less of a chance of getting caught out?
If the seller won't supply more photos for whatever reason, I'd be walking away.

Agreed. I would be asking for specific photo's of all markings on barrel, receiver and stock.
