So I would agree with some of the posts above. if the stock is made correctly and fits you, the recoil is not really as bad as some would say it is.
Any big rifle with an ill-fitting stock can pound you. Even rifles of lesser calibers can be horrible is the don't fit well.

Exactly---had a .470 double once that was horrible..traded it for another model..can fire that easily for 20-30 rounds ..makes a HUGE difference..
