Being tall with long arms and neck I changed out the stock Ruger recoil pad for a 1” Decelerator to get a bit better fitting length of pull. The added benefit is things are easier on the shoulder.
As mentioned, a scope does bring the weight up a bit as well.
I don’t notice the recoil when hunting.......
