Since we non US citizens don't have the advantage of packing a lot of stuff! We are only allowed 20 kgs from Europe to Africa and since my tuffpak weights 7 ,5 kgs empty it's not cheap to consider 2 rifles.

For three previous safaris I've used my 375 loaded with 270 grains rhino bullets sighted in at highest at 125 meters on 8 cm (about 3 inch) which gives about flat on 200 meters and a drop of 30 cm (12 inch) on 300 meters. I looked into using a 235 grain bullet but that did not give any advantages.

Last safari I used a 35 Whelen but havent tested that one further than 250 meters. That one worked good from a Steenbok to a Giraffe.
