Hells Bells 1.3 Gb file!

The bloke really waffles and rambles on. And really should learn something about the subject he is attempting to talk on. Makes me thankfull we have such great and knowledgeable members here on NE. In comparison.

Hate that aweful pistol grip on the Howdah. Give me the original vintage old fashioned stock anyday.

But I do like the option of a .45 Colt or a .410 Shotgun chambering. Really useful.

Is the .45 Colt the same as the .45 Long Colt?

I really want a vintage one of these Howdahs in .577 brass case chamberinbg. One was up for auction not that long ago, a few years. Was tempted to go to the auction, but did not even have a handgun licence at the time. Plus how to get permission for one, either need toi get it as a collector and then can't shoot it, except of once or twice a year, and can't store ammo for it, OR some sort of competition shooting. BGRC claims to have some sort of Howdah competition. I am guessing if one already has a licence and category for centrefire ammo handguns, then if one is already shooting the category, a few shoots could be tacted on, as long as the minimum four or six shoots are done per year.

BUT what what them being .45 or .577? Well above the .38 maximum for most competitions? Anyone know? Usually the only sports allowed are metal silhouette type competitions? Maybe competitions would need to be of that nature?

Would be cool, a proper BG Howdah shoot should be FAST and have POP UP targets. IMO. To emulate a tiger leaping on the back of your elephant during a driven hunt. Per a knockdown silhouette target which pops up and needs to be knocked down within a quick time period.

I'd love one of each:
- an original .577 brass case chambered Howdah;
- one of these .45/.410 Pedersolis without that crap stock; &
- one of the percussion ML BL Howdahs - just for fun.

Thanks for posting, even if downloading the file probably cost me $20!!! (used up my quota already for the month )
