No, it's got 3.8"-4.2" eye relief.

Funny, I own two of these scopes and I didn't think of them when the "German" reticle was mentioned but that's really what they are:

They are wonderful, light 1" tube scopes. Leupold also offers the reticle with an illuminated central dot in the 1.25-4X30mm version.

You can get either for a very reasonable price online from any of the big merchants or on the auction sites.
