Eric,
Yes, I've used an Otis "Kit&Caboodle" in the metal case for many years.
Always take it with me during safari work and it has often come in handy.
Last year during Cape York hunts I needed it twice.
Once when a client accidently jabbed the muzzle of his rifle into the mud at the edge of a swamp.
Again, when another client managed to get a projectile jammed in the rifling from a handload with bullet seated out too far.

I don't normally use it for general bore cleaning as it is a little too fiddley, but for those times where you need a compact go anywhere cleaning kit they are good.
