Not long ago I bought a Uberti clone of the first 1873 Colt Cavalry model. It's a 7-1/2" Single Action Army made to be as close as possible to the revolvers issued to Gen. Custer's troops.



I'm telling you, this revolver is nothing but superb build quality. Side by side to a like-new Colt it shows slightly better fit and finish. It's a pleasure to shoot and an amazing value available today.

Interestingly, Julia's Auction last month auctioned the only Colt 1873 revolver positively documented as having been salvaged from the Little Big Horn battlefield. The listing has a lot of detailed photos. The revolver brought $460,000.00!
