A double set Mauser trigger uses a modified lever/sear in place of the trigger mechanism you see in your picture. The DS trigger plate is normally attached to the floor plate, is it not?
This is so the flipping rear trigger bar, when fired, arcs up and hits the pivoting sear, releasing the firing pin.

I think that is how they work - a slightly more complicated design of a muzzleloading DS trigger.
