If you're talking about original Oberndorf Mauser sporting rifles, they came in several barrel lengths up to 28" in the Type (or Model) A. There were some very ornate special rifles made but I've seen these only in photos. The actions on finished rifles were all blued as far as I know, but actions in the white were sold to the British, German, and American gun trades and probably others. The original sporters are great rifles, the finest sporting bolt rifles ever in my opinion.This is the best place on the web to learn about them but it may take time to get to the heart of what you want to know.
