Early 20th century Mauser sporters

I'm looking for info on these, in 7x57, from the factory.
1. were all the barrels 23.5" on the 1 and 2 or could they be ordered otherwise?
2. Were they all one finish, or were deluxe models available?
3. Were the actions blued, in the white, or both?

I have other questions. Is there a place on the web where I might find information.
