The correct weight to handle a .375H&H comfortably would be in the 180- 240lb range depending on your age and physical condition. Just kidding. Recoil is very subjective.From the bench, with only one hand on the grip and the other tucked under the butt, the .375 gets annoying after half a box. Shooting from a sitting or standing position, it's literally a blast to shoot. When shooting at game it's no worse than an .06. The thing to watch out for is eye relief if you use a scope. Make sure to buy a scope with plenty of ER and keep your face as far back as possible before you squeeze that trigger.
