Jackknife, if nothing else, he is controvercial! Any string started with his name any place in the title usually opens a flood gate of disgustingly frank opinions!

His films are well done, and are absolutely broadcast quality, the content, however, is sometimes desturbing. The norcissism abounds, with the chest pounding comentary.

I think MS is a very good PH as far as his ability to find quality trophies, and have very nice camps. If you are into double rifles, there is plenty of footage, useing them. The double rifles is what drew me to his films origenally. His films are a good study, by watching the body language of the buffalo, for learning the habits, and reactions of Cape Buffalo to bullet empact, and to being approched after being wounded. The best two things about his films is the close contact to dangerous game, and the use of double rifles for this close in type of hunting.

I have his first four tapes, but after the last one I bought, called "SUDDEN DEATH", I couldn't force myself to buy another. If you can stand the talking to the camera for ten minutes, telling you what a great guy Mark is, while a wounded animal suffers, and drags himself along, in the background, then I say buy the films, I simply will not!
