My '98 9.3x62 has a 24" barrel & weighs 7'10oz without scope. This is the reason the 9.3x62 is a better choice than .375H&H in almost all situations. The lighter rifle swings & points more readily helping the shooter to get off the aimed shot more quickly. The .375H&H is a great & popular cartridge however its design leads to much heavier & longer firearms restricting its flexibility. The 9.3 does not give away much to the .375 in terms of power when reloaded.
