I have had a very nice left handed SR20 from the mid 1990's. A very nicely made rifle, accurate and a joy to use. They are a level above the Sakos of similar period - a friend has both a sako to bear and an SR20, both in 270. The SR20 is just more solid. The Mauser is very similar - main difference is the safety on the bolt shroud as opposed to the trigger safety on the SR20. I think I prefer bolt shroud safeties, that block the firing pin.

I would finish that rifle and then enjoy it.
