I can't bring myself to shoot baboons - too human - it's the "hands" that get me. When I studied anatomy all the students found dissected hands much more disturbing than faces.

But I don't have a problem with others doing it as long as I'm not around.

I wonder how much the sound of gunshots really bothers game. Some of my neighbours shoot the shit out of our kangaroos, very badly (I regularly find roos they've wounded have taken shelter under the house and died. Yet I have roos grazing undisturbed 150yds away when I'm shooting my 300 Win Mag and 470. I even fired over their heads at my 250yd target without them moving.
