I bought a Dorleac & Dorleac .500 Jeffrey some while back. I was in Barcelona, Spain a few years ago, and convinced my friends to take a road trip with me up to Perpignan, France, to have a look at Joel's shop. I knew that he had had this .500 Jeffery for sale for some time. When I found out that it fit me like a glove, I jumped on it. It is built on a Prechtl action, has a Heym barrel, and the wood is French walnut. Empty, it weighs just shy of 11 pounds. Here are a couple of photos:









This last photo was taken in Joel's shop, (he is in the green jacket). Once I handled the .500, it was all over but the crying. Cheers. Chip.
