Greener-Martini in 45/70 strength
      03/07/16 02:53 AM

I have a Greener-Martini in 45/70. It has an octagon barrel and is in very good condition. I'm not sure who did the conversion but it certainly looks to be a quality job. I've been told Navy Arms but I'm not totally convinced.

I'm wondering how strong the action is and which ammo would be safe to use. I believe it was made in the 70's so it's was meant to use smokeless loads. I suspect I should stay with Springfield Trapdoor loads to be safe but this action seems a lot stronger than any Trapdoor...
