I like that "impossibly long skinny neck" of the 450/400 3 1/4".

The rim on the 3" is quite a bit thicker/stronger, as are all the Jeffery designed cases.... Still I just love the look of the 3 1/4".

Either one of the 450/400's are probably the best choice for todays sport hunter. They are very effective and have less recoil than the 450/475 ctgs. The rifles are usually lighter too. My 400 3 1/4" weighs 9 1/4 lbs.
