Why only one sling eye on Pedersoli Gibbs rifles?
      29/01/16 03:20 PM

I have been looking at Pedersoli's Gibbs series and they all have a single eye for attaching a sling. It is located immediately in front of the trigger guard. What kind of a sling did Gibbs use on these rifles and guns in the 1860's and how was it attached to the firearm?
Thanks in advance for explanations
