Hello Everyone
It may be of interest to members to know that the Woodleigh 320 grain round nose bullets are available in both soft and solid and there is another 320 grainer with a protected point semi spitzer profile. Both soft nose types are weldcores. They were originally produced for use in the 360 No 2 double rifles as this was the correct bullet weight for that calibre, and yes they do work well in the various 9.3's.
The 360 No 2 pushed the 320 grainer at 2200 fps in a 28 inch barrel but produced a rather low pressure in doing so.
The 360 No 2 is quite a big case though when compared to the 9.3 by 74 , somewhere around 40% bigger in capacity.
There is no way I'd attempt to get 2350 fps with a 320 grain bullet in a 9.3 by 74 in a double.
I would suggest working up carefully to a max of about 2150 fps so long as there are NO signs of excess pressure.
(presuming it's a double we are talking about)
LOL Alan
