The script on Mauser sporting rifles did not change immediately in 1922. Apparently there were many already marked parts still in stock afterwards. May own B 8x60 rifle # 1044xx on a standard length square bridge receiver,datable 1930 - 31, is still marked "Waffenfabrik Mauser" on the receiver,but "Mauser Werke A.G." on the barrel rib.
