Thank you for all the kind comments.

I thought it would be nice to have a kind of permanent record.

IOWA 303
My only falling block is a J. Burrow #3B trade-pattern Farquharson in .375 Fl. N.E. 2 1/2".

I used to own Ruger #1A's in .30-06, .303, .375 H&H, .45-70 & a custom in .500 N.E. 3", but sold them all because of their weight, lack of balance & just very poor "feel" & lack of "liveliness", especially compared to my Lee Speeds & other British rifles.

I currently have 7 rifles chambered for the .303 Flanged Nitro Express 2 1/4" (my own moniker, which I find has a much nicer ring to it than .303 British and when asked what the rifle is chambered for, I don't get that demeaning old "oh, it's just another 303" when I am at the range with one of them, as 303's have become quite passe up here as they were the most-oft seen rifles up here in the bush, more so than the thutty-thutty chambered Model 94 carbine); the 2 #1 Pattern rifles & 1 Pattern #2 rifle featured here, a #3 Pattern Lee Speed carbine yet to be featured, & 4 made up rifles, starting with commercial #1 Mk. III B.S.A.Co. actions, on which the bolt handles have been ground & swept forward, at least for those who did not have it already done, very tightly bored commercial Churchill or Cogswell & Harrison barrels fitted & headspaced thereon, bedded into commercial 1950's era Sile manufactured stocks that have had their white-line spacers & varnish finish removed, refinished with b.l. or tung oil & re-chequered & no-drill scope bases fitted. Of the three just mentioned, 1 is fitted with Schmidt und Bender 1.5-6x42 (#1 reticle) & Kahles Helia S 2.2-9x42 (#4 reticle) scopes on Leupold QRW 30mm rings (my tree stand rifle given the weight of the scopes & the rifle's tendancy to be top-heavy); the second is fitted with IOR 4x32 (#4 reticle) & Adler Luxus 2.5x20 (#1 reticle) on Weaver Low pivot rings, while the last is fitted with Swarovski Habicht Nova 4x32 (#4 reticle) & Bausch & Lomb Balvar 1.5-6x32 (Duplex reticle) on Leupold QRW 1" rings.
