I suspect farming in England would be in trouble the first time someone from the government got chased around the barnyard by an Ayrshire bull who thought he was spending too much time gazing at the harem. I've personally been mauled twice by cows. Yes. Milkcows. It's not just the bulls. But Bovine males can hold a grudge. They don't just want to kick your ar*se. They want to make sure you know they haven't forgot you. More than one bull has been shot up here after he "turned". Don't know what makes 'em do it. The cows usually are protecting the young when they get ugly. The bulls are territorial I guess. Some just get p*ssed off one day and go off the deep end. I've lost good neighbors to their tame dairy and beef cattle. Wild cattle are true dangerous game. Wasn't it Capstick who described a male Cape buffalo as looking at him like he owed him money?
