79927 would make it from 1914
I am not sure where, exactly, Mauser sourced their walnut from or what type it is.
Many Oberndorf Mausers had very plain, straight grain wood, but sometimes you come across one with very nice wood.
I once had a Kurz TypeS with beautiful wood, better than any other Mauser I had ever seen.
