The Wonderful Photographic Art of Christer Hansson

Some people might remember our good member "CcHunter". CcHunter is better known as Christer Hansson. Christer is a good personal friend of mine, and a very nice guy. And also incredibly talented. Years ago when he was on NitroExpress.com, he had started off a safari video business, and made his first South African plains game safari video. This was subsequently sold to a US distribution company. Later two more films were made and sold.

Christer had to cut back on time on the net, and stopped visiting all the forums he previously visited. I lost contact with him. Later I came across him again, and he had told me he had won a "Photographer of the Year" award for Sweden. This award was in 2009 and a book had been published. I was keen to see it, so asked if I could buy a copy from him. One arrived shortly after and generous Christer sent it to me without charge.

Later while visiting Norway and Sweden to hunt moose/elg/alg Christer invited me to visit. The first year I stayed a couple of nights with him and his family near Goteberg/Gothenberg in Sweden. Last year I visited again. I was in Goteberg for a few days and telephoned Christer to see if we could meet up for a meal or drink, and he said come down here on the train for a night. It is always a pleasure to spend some time with Christer and his family. One day I hope to return the favour in Australia. I am sure his camera will record great images in our Aussie light too.
