Mike,

There’s no problem because on that kind of action the firing pin has been designed to endure this type of stress without weaken.
I think that we have often encountered more troubles with ill fitted snap caps and bent extractors lips and, to my knowledge, I have never seen a firing pin breaking when dry firing, either with a M-S or with a Mauser.
You can also disarm the system by lowering the bolt handle while maintaining the trigger, but, of course, you must be certain that it’s done on an empty chamber...!
