I am sure that if the Tiger were still hunted today, there would be more of them, the only reason they are being poached and poisoned, is that there is no one to make sure they are not "stolen" by others, any predator has to have a large home zone, and these areas are now being overrun by humans, and their livestock, much to the disadvantage of Tigers, that said, the Leopard is doing very well, in spite of the foregoing.
