There is a chap who posts as Longbob on AR who had a 458 Lott from the level of rifle illustrated above.

His bolt would not open beccuase it hit the stock. The sights was on crooked and the weld of the scecond recoil lug was cracked and there was a crack in the stop. Three trips back to Winchester got it fixed. That was a couple of years ago.

Barrels that are crooked in the receiver seems quite common with M70s today, unless we get the rejects sent to Australia
