Heckler & Koch the new importer for Merkel???

I was paging through the latest edition of "Shooting Sportsman" at the book store and saw an ad for H&K stating that for the US, they are the new importer of Merkel firearms. The ad further said that Merkle was bought out by H&K.

Has anyone else heard about this? Is GSI still in the picture?
