Yes of course. Hotter!

You wll note I did mention the NT as well. Normally I try to develop loads in Summer when it is warmer, or if in Winter, try them again in Summer.

I don't see it as sensible to develop "hot" loads in cool Northern climates to try and get performance out of cartridges equalling larger capacity cases. Then hunting with them in climates maybe 15 deg C hotter.

That's why these ancient NE cases are still in use. Designed for low pressure and easy extraction in tropical climates with long tapered cases. The same reason I don't like the "short-magnums" of current temporary fame.

Some of the loads in my principal three rifles:
- .450 no 2 - 2150 fps with 480 grs
- .375 H&H - 2450 fps with 300 grs
- .30-06 - 2900 fps with a 150 gr bullet.

Nothing earth shaking about any of them.
