Here are some photos showing the above 1960 Roell rifle as it looks like now, after repairing the split and removing the hogback:

This pic shows from top to bottom:
Mauser Oberndorf type B in 8x60, standard action, # 118572, 1937
Roell type B in 8x57S, standard action, # 128141, 1960
Mauser Oberndorf type B in 7x57, intermediate length action, # 112909, 1933
At least the two top rifles were assembled by the same man.
