The guy at Merkel could say little else, but the truth is the Merkles have had problems from the start with the 375 and 416s, they shoot off the face, to much pressure for the doubles action....Listen to Mickey1...

But worse than that, a belted round in a double can slip the ejectors and jam up the gun to the point that it is very difficult to repair...and if that happens on an elephant or Buffalo it can be a bit of a problem sometimes.

Just my call and your certainly welcome to pick your own guns....
