Been casually looking for one. I have too many other gun interests and a limited income to pay $10K+ for a double so this was a really good deal for me. Found a nice Cogswell & Harrison in 375 NE 2 1/2-inch caliber. Cogswell doesn't appear to have the best rep here being a "cheap" rifle, but this one is tight as a drum, well cared for and beautiful to me. I really like that it is fairly plain with some light engraving on the receiver. Looks like it was made to hunt with and not a safe queen. The buttstock was replaced sometime in the past but it's a nice piece of wood and fits the receiver and butt-plate nicely.

Was purchased by a British officer in 1907 and taken to India - his name is engraved on the butt-plate. The seller had done quite a bit of research and this officer had quite a life. I've also done some research - was wounded in the Boer War and also participated in WWI in Europe. Retired a major sometime after the war. Last thing I found was that he and his wife went to Jamaica in 1938 - he was 62. He died in 1946 at the age of 70. Still working on his post WWI activities so I have no idea how the rifle ended up in the US.

I like this caliber because I have a BSA bolt action in the same. Shot the double yesterday and it was a blast (pun intended) with Westley Richards bought ammo. Going to have to reload the caliber if I'm going to shoot this thing alot. I'd like to hunt with it someday.
