Unlike most it seems, I like the look of this sporting creation. Whereas I also really dislike the Garand's looks in its military form, so was pleasantly surprised by the facelift.
The military M1 Garand to me is butt ugly, obviously not an important consideration for a mil rifle, but I find the M14 far better looking than the ungainly chubby looking M1.
Obviously everyone has their own opinions.
