It was just a shade under 17". This was the luckiest hunt I've ever done. We just left the farm house(the day before my hunt was scheduled to start)for a look-see around the farm, and not 10 minutes after leaving, I spotted this guy sneaking through the tall grass in the river bottom. I had the driver stop, and my PH & I went back for a look, and he was still there. One shot later, he was down. By the way, this was around 11:30 in the morning. I used my 375 Ackley with 250 grain Swift A-Frames.
