Martini trigger pull
      21/05/12 11:55 PM

I took the Greener 577-500 out this weekend and she shot okay for the first trip. Two problems cropped up. Sometime in the past the blade on the front sight has been snapped off and replaced with a shotgun bead tapped into the old sight. It covers about 14" at 100 yds. I'll have to try and buy another correct blade sight or have one made. The second thing is the absolutly horrible trigger. It feels like it has 1/2" creep and then I almost have to use two fingers to pull it the rest of the way. I read somewhere that not much could be done with martini triggers. Is this true? If it's not true, can a competent gunsmith make this rifle a joy to shoot instead of a workout?
