Leupold VX-II 1-4x20mm for .458 Win Mag?

As the title says, how will a Leupold VX-II 1-4x20mm go on a .458 Win Mag? Eye relief is listed s 4.3"-3.8". This isn't going on a rifle to be used for dangerous game (maybe a water buff, one day).

Anyone else use one? Or are they suitable? They seem to be the cheapest i cna find but are still made by a decent company (without having used a Leupold, people seem to rate them highly).
Ive no idea on scopes for larger rifles.
