Hi Mike, no problem, I didn't mean to sound rude.

Fact is, I have good metalworking experience, and I know the effect that changing an angle or reducing a travel would have. But I know very well that the slightest excess in these would result in a ruined sear/hammer, so I ask the question instead of embarking on a precision job without having any data to go by...

Sending the rifle anywhere is out of the question, export/re-import paperwork would be a nightmare making an Israel-Palestine peace deal look like a walk in the park!
