In my part of the country they are mostly hunted with dogs that bark under the tree they are sitting in. Then shot with rifle and if you can come really close with shotgun. You must be hiding all the time so there are often some distance when you take the shot. Often we hunt with a dog named "Finnspets". Looks like a fox with longer legs.
