I believe John has put up the money to have this site as a resource for subscribers. It's his wish to see it work and in the members interests.
The number of ads for a single item is over the top and the poster obviously has no interest in other than making money.
I thought John would have jumped on it sooner.
Hard to "jump in" when I haven't been on the internet for several days ...
As for "stringent monitoring" I think the original communication to "watchmaker" for the excessive advertising posts was as a result of one of the moderators mentioning it. NE is a club where members and moderators etc self monitor to some extent. Good team work.
Don't know if there has been another post and it has been deleted?
I'm not big into using "lights for hunting" so normally wouldn't visit this sort of post much. Infact coincidentally I only yesterday removed one of these crap torches (one of my own I purchased a while ago) from the bottom of one of my rifle barrels. I needed to use the rifle for some brain shots at animals, and tested the rifle. The shots were quite inaccurate, off target etc. So decided to remove the light off the bottom of the barrel. And PRESTO the next two shots were on target and a quarter of an inch at 50 metres from a rough rest.
A lot of this attaching lights to barrels is part of the "mall ninja"/tactical wankfest some seem to think is important to look like. Everyone to their own, but can't see how attaching a torch to a barrel is going to improve accuracy. First thing I thought to do was pull off that crap off the barrel ...
The rifle is just a beaten up, but again accurate, .22 Mag I use around the farm and to head shoot deer with on the farm when needed. Now I know why I have been missing the bunnies so much too.
