I buy my Toyotas from Government car auctions.

The electricity company used to often auction several every week and as long as you like white vehicles they were about half price. Commercial models of course. Petrol engined 4WDs with about 35,000 to 60,000 kms on the clock. Diesel engined with about 60,000 to 90,000 kms. Mine is diesel and I've had about 85,000 kms and it cost me A$28,000. I've had it ten years and it will last another ten. Amazingly the traytop models were selling for $40k to $45k when they were about $50k new! I want one of these as a farm vehicle.

You can also buy them from mining companies 2nd hand but they are much more beat up because these guys actually work!

Australia has one of the biggest 4WD markets in the world though nowadays most use them to pull boats on the bitumen and ferry kids to and from school.

PS I don't like Nissans at all having had one and found it very unreliable. Same with a "Datsun" car. Never again.
