I presume those prices are in Aussy $ ? Here in Norway they both go for around US$ 130.000! Which is why you don't see many here...

Would you believe that in Norway, even a LR Defender is US$ 66.000! Unless you register it as a "commercial vehicle" like we did with only the front 2 seats which brings the price down to US$ 45.000... Most of it is pure taxes.

Ohh, the benefits of living in a tax crazed socialist country...

Ps. consider yourselves lucky in Australia for being able to buy a Land Cruiser HJ78/HJ79. The best 4x4xfar!!! Which Toyota never even bothered to import here...
