That's pretty much what I was noting with the micro red dot sights like the little Burris and Docter Optic sights -- very little mass, good. The much more massive telescopic sights like the compact Leupold 'Scout Scopes' and their mounting systems -- bad as they are likely to affect barrel regulation, especially when mounted far down the rib in the 'Scout Scope' configuration.
