Although far from my preferred calibre for buffalo, the following morning an opportunity to shoot one with the Ruger No.1 .300H&H fell into my lap as we slipped into a little swamp. It was quite an ask, and I definitely don't recommend engaging a bull in thick timber with such a rifle. Happily, Nick didn't need to join-in with the real buffalo rifle. I would've preferred to have tried Hydros, but didn't have any up-and-running.
Yep, living in the Territory is pretty cool, and provides good opportunities to the persistent.
