Greg - the TSX's don't shoot like either the old plain or the older XLC's, the blue ones did in some rifles.

My daughter's .260 puts 3 120 XLC's into 3/8" at 100 meters and my oversize 6.5x55 (.266" groove,) put the same bullet into an even inch.

My 7mm Mauser made 1/2" groups with 160gr. TSX's and my current .375/06IMP makes 3 consecutive 270 TSX's touch, virtually every time I shoot it on target.

Buddy's Rem. .30/06 I spoke of earlier - perhaps in another thread, puts Federal 165gr. Factories into 3/8". These new TSX's are amazingly accurate.

So far, my experience is the TSX's shoot well in every gun I've seen them used in.

I've not heard of a rifle that does not like the newer TSX bullets. The old ones didn't shoot in many rifles, yes, but the new ones seem to shoot in all rifles.

Some mfgr's have try to improve their products and Barnes is one of those.

I start the load development with the TSX's .030" off the lands. This is important. The older plain bullets needed .040" to .050" for a start due to being harder to engrave, due to being solid, without the bands.
